Omelettes are super versatile and easy to throw together. Once you’ve got the basic ingredients, you can literally throw in any vegetables or protein that’s on hand.
To make the basic omelette, all you really need is eggs!
Heat a non-stick fry pan over medium heat and lightly spray with oil.
Crack a couple of eggs into a bowl and lightly whisk them with a fork.
Add your favorite herbal seasoning then pour your egg mixture, then swirl to cover the base.
Cook for 1-2 minutes until the egg starts to set but its still a little raw on top.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and you are ready to add your favorite ingredients. Such options include baby spinach, diced tomatoes, smoked salmon or cheese!
When the edges are crispy, use a spatula to fold in half to cover the filling and cook for another minute or until golden brown.
Omelette is plated and served
